Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician Job Location:
Fulton State Hospital - Specialty Clinics/Units 600 East Fifth Street Fulton, MO 65251 Salary - $209,502/year FSH offers the opportunity for physicians to earn additional income through paid on call shifts. On call hours allows physicians to increase their earnings while providing essential care to our patients during after-hours. Opportunity to earn more with board certification. Workload is comfortable, averaging 10 patients a day, allowing for ample time to review and discuss cases. What you'll do: This is a licensed position that performs professional medical care of assigned patients and may specialize in one or a combination of medical fields including primary care, acute care, internal medicine, geriatrics, and/or forensics. Physicians will provide medical care to long term psychiatric hospital patients including sick calls, annual physicals, chronic disease management, reviewing labs, studies, and outside specialist consultations. Our relatively long-term population allows practitioners to know their patients well. Physicians collaborate with a team of mental health experts, including psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and treatment teams to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to patient care.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
A successful candidate should have the following: Knowledge of the principles and practices of general and/or specialized medicine, and methods and processes utilized in diagnosing and treating a variety of diseases. Ability to analyze and evaluate the practices, techniques, and treatment procedures employed in a particular medical specialty for effectiveness.Typical Qualifications:
Completion of primary care residency MD or DO licensePreferred Qualifications:
