Responsibilities - What you'll do What you'll do: This is a licensed professional position accountable for: assessment and treatment of mental illnesses provide complete psychiatric services including: assessment diagnosis medical prescription treatment Prescribes, evaluates, and monitors administration of medications Leads interdisciplinary teams in evaluating new patients and writes admission and discharge orders Serves as a consultant to other medical staff Prepares/submits evaluation reports to the courts and testifies in court proceedings Applicants will be responsible for more elaborate, complex, and precise evaluation and care to severely mentally and/or emotionally ill adults. Qualifications - All you need for success Knowledge, skills & abilities Knowledge of professional principles and practices of medicine and psychiatry, and of current theories and practices in the field of mental health Knowledge of medications and their effects on physical and psychological disorders Ability to provide expert witness testimony regarding the status of patients' psychological condition Typical qualifications Licensure as a Psychiatrist Join a committed, energetic and diverse medical staff, where teamwork is part of the facility culture.
