Locums About the Facility This facility in Missouri maintains established clinical infrastructure and protocols to support locum tenens cardiothoracic surgery coverage across inpatient, operating room, and emergency room settings. The medical center reports steady surgical volume and provides APP support for vein harvesting in the OR and floor management. Candidates who hold an active Missouri license and DEA are preferred for this assignment. About the Facility Location Western Missouri offers a variety of exciting activities. Explore the vibrant city of Kansas City, known for its world-class barbecue, lively jazz scene, and attractions like the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and the historic Union Station. About the Clinician's Workday The cardiothoracic surgeon will provide on-call coverage for emergent cardiac and thoracic surgical cases across inpatient, operating room, and emergency room settings on a weekend basis. The clinician will also round on floor patients throughout each assigned coverage period. Call coverage is structured as solo call while on assignment, with a physician associate available to take first call at night. APP support is in place for vein harvesting in the OR and for floor coverage throughout each designated period.
