Job Description

Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our expanding mental health team. This position is based primarily in our Biloxi clinic and focuses on adult patients dealing with substance use disorders and mental health conditions that co-occur with addiction or chronic pain, such as depression or anxiety. In addition to direct patient care, the psychiatrist will provide clinical oversight and collaborate closely with psychiatric nurse practitioners and other mental health professionals within the practice. This is primarily an in-person role, with limited telehealth flexibility depending on clinic needs and scheduling. As our psychiatric department continues to grow, this position offers future opportunities for leadership, program development, and the integration of innovative treatments—including deep transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and NMDA-assisted therapy—into our clinical offerings. Key Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adult patients with co-occurring mental health and addiction or chronic pain conditions Provide psychiatric oversight for patients receiving detox services Collaborate with counselors, nurse practitioners, and medical providers to create integrated care plans Provide clinical oversight and consultation to psychiatric nurse practitioners and other mental health team members Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case reviews Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards Deliver care primarily in person, with some limited telehealth as appropriate Stay current on clinical best practices and emerging treatment approaches Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry Active Mississippi medical license or willingness to obtain Experience in addiction psychiatry or co-occurring disorders preferred Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary commensurate with experience and licensure (to be discussed) Full Time benefits package includes: Paid time off (PTO) and sick days, health insurance with vision and dental, and retirement plan Why Join Us?
