OB-GYN Opportunity in the Mississippi Delta Leadership Role Join a growing women's health initiative designed to restore access to obstetrical care across the Mississippi Delta following multiple regional labor and delivery closures. This opportunity offers the ability to practice full-scope OB/GYN care while helping shape a collaborative rural health model focused on maternal health access, physician leadership, and midwifery integration. HELP BUILD A REGIONAL WOMEN'S HEALTH HUB
This practice is evolving into a regional destination for obstetrical care with strong institutional support and long-term growth plans. Opportunity to serve as Clinical Lead for a developing Midwife Training Program New Women's Health Clinic scheduled to open in 2026 Expanding delivery volumes and growing regional demand for OB services Collaborative physician-midwife care model focused on maternal health outcomes
A MORE SUSTAINABLE CALL MODEL
The practice is actively transitioning toward a more balanced and team-oriented structure. Current 1:3 call schedule moving toward 1:4 and eventually 1:5 coverage Certified Nurse Midwives provide frontline labor triage and routine management support Two full anesthesia and OR teams available 24/7 Established emergency C-section response protocols in place
PRACTICE & LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
This role blends clinical care, teaching, and program leadership responsibilities. Full-scope OB/GYN practice with routine obstetrics and gynecologic procedures 50/50 split between clinical duties and leadership/teaching during program buildout Opportunity to mentor rotating midwives and fellows Strong focus on improving maternal care access across surrounding rural communities
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Guaranteed base salary of $450,000 plus productivity incentives Flexible $175,000 incentive package for sign-on, relocation, and loan assistance 40 days of paid time off annually Comprehensive benefits including malpractice with tail coverage
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
MD or DO with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in OB/GYN Physicians with 3-10+ years of experience preferred Passion for rural health, mentorship, and collaborative care delivery Mississippi license or ability to obtain
