UNC School of Medicine Rural OB/GYN Fellowship
  • with Attending-Level Compensation The UNC School of Medicine, in partnership with UNC Health Medical Group, proudly offers a one-or two-year Rural Obstetrics & Gynecology Fellowship, the first of its kind in the nation, training physician leaders to deliver exceptional women's healthcare in rural maternal health. Fellowship Highlights
  • Individually Tailored Training o Program customized to your career goals with a dedicated faculty mentor o Leadership, Administrative, and Research Development up to 50% if desired
  • Robust Clinical Practice o Comprehensive OB/GYN practice at a single fellowship site in Eden, NC o Close collaboration with 2 experienced clinical partners. o Potential for a 100% clinical fellowship if desired
  • Excellent opportunity for couples match or to join with a co-resident, accepting 1-2 fellows per year
  • Rural Health Training Community o Connection with learners and colleagues who share your passion for rural health through: UNC SOM Fully Integrated Readiness for Service (FIRST) Training Program, a service
  • oriented pipeline addressing workforce shortages in rural and underserved North Carolina communities Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) Compensation & Benefits
  • Attending-Level compensation

Retirement:

  • Fellowship Site Highlights
  • UNC Women's Health at Eden o Well-established practice serving the community for over 25 years o Join a collegial team of two full-time OB/GYNs, one FNP, and per diem OB/GYNs
  • Call 1:5
  • 1:6 target call schedule supported by dedicated per diem coverage (actual schedule may vary, but call burden is designed to be sustainable and attractive)
