Job Description

Category Imaging - IR Tech Job Type Travel An opportunity is available for an Interventional Radiology Technologist skilled in imaging to support a dynamic healthcare team in Huntersville, NC. This travel role offers valuable experience working in a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, known for its specialized services including a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center. The department serves an average of 25-30 patients daily, including both adult and pediatric populations from emergency, ICU, nursing, and outpatient units, providing a diverse clinical environment.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Minimum of 1 year Interventional Radiology Tech experience. ARRT-Registered (ARRT-R) certification required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatory. Confidence in clinical skills with the ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting. Strong communication abilities and a teamwork-oriented attitude. First-time travelers are welcome.
Responsibilities:
Perform imaging procedures using Siemens and Cannon bi-plane equipment. Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals, including lead techs, modality supervisors, and imaging managers. Maintain compliance with safety and procedural protocols. Participate in departmental orientation and facility tours. Cover assigned shifts consistently over 13-week contracts, including possible holiday coverage with prior approval. Rotate through designated shifts without weekend/weekday rotation variability. Engage in a fair on-call rotation system shared among full-time, part-time, PRN, and traveler technologists.
