Job Description

We are seeking a skilled General Surgeon for a 90-day assignment in North Carolina, starting Sep 29, 2026. This locum tenens physician role involves performing a variety of general surgery procedures, including adult and pediatric cases, laparoscopic surgeries such as appendectomy and cholecystectomy, and preferred trauma surgery across multiple facilities. Responsibilities and Duties Perform general surgery procedures for adult patients, with preferred experience in pediatric cases. Handle preferred trauma surgery cases. Conduct required laparoscopic surgeries including appendectomy and cholecystectomy. Perform preferred laparoscopic procedures such as hernioplasty and Nissen fundoplication. Utilize preferred skills in ventilation management, chest tube insertion, central line insertion, and PA catheter placement. Address preferred liver surgery cases. Additional Information Board Certification in General Surgery is required. The EMR system utilized is Epic. Estimated credentialing timeframe is 60-90 days.
