Your Role as a Family Medicine Physician AMG is opening a new clinic in Wingate, NC , with a target opening date approximately 120 days from now, and we're beginning recruitment today. This is a unique opportunity to be a founding provider at a brand-new location—helping shape the clinic's culture, patient base, and clinical operations from the ground up. We're looking for an experienced Physician Assistant (3+ years) to deliver full-spectrum primary care to patients of all ages, working in close collaboration with our supervising physician(s) and the broader AMG clinical team as the practice grows. This role reports to the Chief Medical Officer. What You'll Do ✔ Provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, from adolescents through geriatric patients. ✔ Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions in collaboration with the supervising physician. ✔ Perform routine preventive care, screenings, and health maintenance visits. ✔ Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures as clinically indicated. ✔ Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with NC PA scope-of-practice regulations. ✔ Provide chronic disease management and patient education on treatment plans. ✔ Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. ✔ Collaborate with and provide clinical guidance to MAs and other support staff. ✔ Help establish clinical workflows, patient care standards, and team culture as a founding provider at a new clinic location. ✔ Ensure safe, compassionate, high-quality care is delivered at every patient encounter. What We're Looking For Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing as a PA, in family medicine or primary care Strong clinical skills across adolescent, adult, and geriatric care Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR), preferably Athena Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills A positive attitude, initiative, and comfort helping build a new clinic from the ground up Commitment to continuous learning Licenses & Certifications Active, unrestricted NC PA License required NCCPA Certification (PA-C) required DEA Registration required BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required Why Join AMG? Monday-Friday, 8 AM
  • 5 PM Schedule begins at 40 patient-facing hours per week, transitioning to 32 patient-facing hours plus 8 admin hours per week once a full patient load is reached.
