Schedule:
FT / 5 days per week On average 4 shifts per month Provide single physician coverage for patients across the lifespan in the emergency department of a Level IV Trauma Center that sees approximately 11,000 patients per year Conduct thorough medical assessments, formulate differential diagnoses, and develop treatment plans based on patient condition and diagnostic results Order and interpret diagnostic tests (laboratory, radiology, EKG) to support clinical decision-making Lead and coordinate trauma resuscitations in alignment with Level IV Trauma Center standards, ensuring timely assessment, stabilization, documentation, and collaboration with EMS and hospital staff to maintain a high standard of trauma care Determine appropriate patient disposition to include admissions, transfers, or discharges, ensuring complete documentation and follow-up instructions Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including EMTALA obligations for patient transfers, stabilization, and documentation of inbound and outbound transfer Collaborate with hospital staff, nursing teams, and consultants to optimize patient outcomes and flow through the department Ensure compliance with hospital policies, medical staff bylaws, and state/federal regulations
Qualifications:
Board Certification:
Emergency Medicine (preferred) or Family Medicine with emergency medicine experience. Preferably in rural or critical access facilities. Active and unrestricted North Dakota medical license Current ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and DEA registration Must be well versed in EPIC Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in emergency medicine Proficient in the following procedures: Intubation and advanced airway management, chest tube placement and central line insertion, procedural sedation, adult and pediatric resuscitation, orthopedic emergencies, leading trauma resuscitations and directing multidisciplinary teams Submit your resume to us today for consideration and one of our dedicated recruiters will be in touch within 24 business hours.
