Locums About the Facility This community-owned, nonprofit hospital serves Platte County and seven surrounding counties in northeast Nebraska. The Emergency Department operates as a Level III Trauma Center with approximately 13,000 annual visits, offering broad-spectrum emergency care supported by in-house radiology, hospitalist services, and access to air ambulance services. The facility provides comprehensive medical and surgical services and continues to invest in facility expansion and advanced patient care. About the Facility Location Columbus, Nebraska and the surrounding Platte County region offer a range of attractions suited to varied interests, including thoroughbred racing at Columbus Races, water recreation at Pawnee Plunge Water Park and Lake North, and outdoor activities along the Loup River. The area features diverse dining options, varied lodging, and a selection of shops, parks, and cultural experiences. Clinicians on assignment may also explore the Andrew Jackson Higgins National Memorial and enjoy live music and entertainment throughout the region. About the Clinician's Workday The Emergency Medicine Physician will provide clinical coverage during day and night shifts at this on-site Level III Trauma Center emergency department in Columbus, Nebraska, working 12-hour shifts on a schedule of 3-4 shifts per month. Shift times are 8:30 AM - 8:30 PM for day shifts and 8:30 PM - 8:30 AM for night shifts. Clinicians will evaluate and manage emergency department presentations across all age groups while maintaining accurate clinical documentation throughout each assigned shift. APPs are present on shift to support clinical operations, and no call responsibilities are associated with this assignment.
