Job Description

Location:
Derry, New Hampshire Overview:
Ongoing locum hospital medicine opportunity with flexible start/end dates. Coverage is service-based with additional surge support during higher-volume periods. No fixed call rotation.
Schedule:
Service A:
7:00 AM-7:00
PM Service B:
8:00 AM-4:00
PM Service C:
7:00 AM-3:00 PM During increased patient volume, all services convert to 12-hour shifts.
Weekend coverage:
two 12-hour services with surge coverage as needed.
Call structure:
Service C:
on call 7:00 AM-11:00
AM Service B:
on call 11:00 AM-3:00
PM Service A:
on call 3:00 PM-7:00 PM Physicians are not expected to be called or return to the hospital after their assigned call period ends.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive inpatient hospital medicine care. Evaluate and manage hospitalized patients; conduct rounds and create treatment plans. Manage admissions, discharges, and cross-coverage as assigned. Coordinate care with specialists, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams. Respond to urgent patient needs during assigned coverage. Complete timely, accurate medical documentation.
Qualifications:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Active New Hampshire medical license. Hospital medicine experience preferred. Ability to work flexible shifts and participate in service-based coverage.
