Job Description

We areseeking a Locums Hospital Medicine Physician for an ongoing hospital-basedopportunity in Rochester, New Hampshire. This is a great opportunity for aphysician who enjoys providing comprehensive inpatient care to an underservedpatient population in a collaborative hospital setting. PositionHighlights Hospital-based inpatient practice 100-bed facility Daily census: approximately 14-24 patients Approximately 4-5 admissions per day Approximately 4-6 consults per day, primarily to behavioral health or rehabilitation services Underserved patient population No trauma designation On-site coverage Once the shift is completed, providers are not expected to receive calls or be called back Responsibilities Provide comprehensive hospital medicine care to adult inpatients. Evaluate and manage acute and chronic medical conditions. Perform daily rounds and develop individualized treatment plans. Manage new admissions and coordinate ongoing inpatient care. Respond to clinical needs during assigned shifts. Coordinate consultations and referrals to behavioral health, rehabilitation, and other services as appropriate. Collaborate with nursing, specialists, and other members of the healthcare team. Coordinate discharge planning and transitions of care. Complete timely and accurate medical documentation. Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Active New Hampshire medical license Current DEA registration BLS certification
