flexible hours About the Role A facility in Passaic County, in partnership with CFG Health Network, is seeking an experienced and compassionate Per Diem Psychiatrist to provide direct in-person psychiatric care for two community-based teams. This role offers a consistent once-per-week, in-person schedule while supporting adults living with serious mental illness in a recovery-oriented model. This role can be fulfilled by one or two providers. The ideal candidate thrives in collaborative, community-based care, enjoys working in the field, and is committed to delivering high-quality psychiatric services. Key Responsibilities Provide psychiatric evaluations , diagnostic assessments, and ongoing medication management. Deliver medication counseling and psychoeducation in collaboration with the treatment team. Work in the field alongside a staff partner to assess and support individuals in community settings (home visits, community sites, etc.). Coordinate care with Bridgeway team members—including clinicians, nurses, and case managers—to ensure comprehensive treatment planning. Participate in team meetings, documentation, and follow-up as needed for continuity of care. Maintain accurate EMR documentation in accordance with CFG and Bridgeway standards. Support a recovery-focused, person-centered care model.
Schedule & Structure Total:
14 hours per week All services must be performed in person Some time will be spent in the field conducting community-based evaluations with a staff partner. Qualifications MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry (if finished residency within 5 years) . Valid New Jersey medical license and CDS/DEA registrations. Experience with community-based or mobile treatment models preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
