Pathlink is seeking a Board Certified Cytopathologist for a part time positi on in Freehold,NJ Minimum of 20 hours per week. All specimen types focusing on Cytopathology with some general Pathology Ideal candidate will have Hospital Surgical Specimen experience About the
Role:
The Cytopathologist plays a critical role in the diagnosis and management of diseases at the cellular level by examining samples obtained through various minimally invasive procedures. This position involves the detailed microscopic evaluation of cells from body fluids, fine needle aspirations, and exfoliative cytology to detect malignancies, infections, and other pathological conditions. The Cytopathologist collaborates closely with clinical teams to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information that directly influences patient treatment plans. Additionally, the role includes overseeing laboratory operations related to cytopathology, ensuring quality control, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Ultimately, the Cytopathologist contributes to advancing patient care through expert interpretation of cytological specimens and participation in multidisciplinary case discussions.
