The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Radiology Assistant - RWJBarnabas Health A typical day for a Radiology Assistant may include: Answering phones in a professional and friendly manner, always identifying yourself while implementing the AIDET initiative.
Assisting physicians, patients, and staff with requests to review radiology exams and results.
Burning CDs upon request while verifying that all patient and exam information is accurate.
Digitizing Fluoroscopy and Operating Room films, ensuring all required information is entered correctly.
Processing requests to sign out patient studies, ensuring all requested studies and results are included while following the required double-check process and maintaining the log book.
Retrieving PACS studies and printing films as needed, accurately identifying the appropriate window levels.
Scanning patient information accurately into RASI and McKesson PACS.
Utilizing the Radiology Information System (RIS) to verify patient demographics and the status of radiology orders.
Accurately entering Radiology billing codes into the Cerner system.
Importing outside CDs for both internal and external customers.
Maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality while following all HIPAA regulations.
Printing and distributing Radiology outpatient schedules.

You understand the importance of patient confidentiality and consistently follow HIPAA requirements.
You are organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple requests while maintaining accuracy.
To be considered for this Radiology Assistant opportunity:
Previous experience in a healthcare, radiology, or hospital environment is preferred.
Familiarity with PACS, RIS, RASI, Cerner, or other healthcare information systems is a plus.
Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately handle patient and exam information.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
