Job Description

Hospice Physician Join Us and Be Part of the Samaritan Difference! A compassionate job-seeker is needed for the Physician opportunity with our company! As a Physician, you will be responsible for providing medical care to patients in Samaritan inpatient units. This opportunity offers $220k-$255,000k annually based on experience!
What You'll Do:
Providing medical care to patients in Samaritan inpatient units, communicating with patients and families and collaborating closely with staff. Providing medical consultation to all hospice personnel to ensure quality patient care. May include Palliative Medicine consultation to patients and families. Attending interdisciplinary team meetings on a regular basis, as assigned, providing comprehensive medical consultation to guide patient care. Providing appropriate communication and coordination with the patient's primary care physician and specialists Participating in teaching of Fellows, Residents and Medical Students. Completing documentation in EMR and sign all required documentation in a timely manner. Maintaining open communication with office staff related to scheduling and other patient care needs. Supporting and participating in performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives. Understanding and complying with regulations and standards particular to state, federal entities as well as payer rules/regulations. Reviewing and providing input on clinical policies and Participating in on call coverage on a rotating basis. Providing in-service training to appropriate personnel and other healthcare professionals in community as needed. Enhancing professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, literature review, in-services and workshops.
What You'll Bring To Our Team:
Minimum of 4 years' related experience M.D. or D.O. required Current license to practice medicine in the state of New Jersey. Board certification in hospice and palliative care or eligibility for certification Bilingual is a plus!
