Job Description

An academic and community-based medical center is seeking a Pediatric Cardiologist for a locum tenens assignment in Newark, New Jersey. This role offers a balanced mix of inpatient coverage, outpatient clinic care, and call responsibilities within a collaborative pediatric cardiac care program. About the
Opportunity:
Shift:
Day shift
Schedule:
Monday through Friday; alternating weekly between inpatient service with call coverage and outpatient clinic
Hours:
8:00 AM - 4:00
PM Setting:
Inpatient and outpatient clinic
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive pediatric cardiology care in inpatient and outpatient settings Evaluate, diagnose, and manage pediatric patients with cardiac conditions Participate in inpatient rounding, consultative services, and clinic follow-up visits Respond to call coverage needs as assigned Interpret and manage pediatric cardiac diagnostic studies and perform echocardiograms when needed
Qualifications:
Board Certified in Pediatric Cardiology Active New Jersey medical license or ability to obtain one Experience managing pediatric cardiac conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings Comfort with call coverage
Desired Skills:
Experience with pediatric echocardiography Experience documenting in Epic EMR Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary pediatric care teams
