Locum tenens coverage is sought beginning January 2027 to meet the clinical needs of the involuntary adult population served. Clinicians on assignment may visit the Newark Museum of Art, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, and Prudential Center, or explore the dining scene in the Ironbound District. About the Clinician's Workday Clinicians in this role will provide full-time inpatient psychiatric services on the involuntary adult unit, working Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, totaling 40 hours per week on-site in Newark, NJ. Clinical responsibilities include rounding on involuntary adult patients with a daily census of 12-15 patients and providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management. No call coverage is required for this assignment. Board certification and prescriptive authority are required for all clinicians considered for this position.
