JOB DESCRIPTION
St. Joseph's Health is seeking an Addiction Medicine Physician to join our growing multidisciplinary team. We are open to full-time or part-time candidates and offer flexible scheduling for the right physician. This role combines outpatient clinic care with inpatient consultation services , treating patients with substance use disorders and co-occurring psychiatric and medical conditions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide outpatient addiction medicine care, including evaluations, treatment planning, and ongoing medication management Initiate and manage Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid, alcohol, and other substance use disorders Provide inpatient consultations for withdrawal management, bridge treatment, and discharge planning Collaborate with behavioral health, social work, case management, and medical teams to support recovery and continuity of care Participate in quality improvement initiatives, program development, and resident/staff education as appropriate Maintain timely documentation and compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
QUALIFICATIONS
MD or DO Addiction Medicine fellowship training preferred Board Certified/Board Eligible Required New Jersey license (or ability to obtain) DEA registration (or eligibility) Experience with MAT, withdrawal management, and multidisciplinary addiction care preferred

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc." The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
