Job Description

A healthcare facility in Manahawkin (Stafford Township), NJ is seeking a Locum Urology Physician to provide inpatient coverage with weekday and weekend 24-hour shifts. This role suits a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Urologist comfortable managing inpatient consults, performing procedures as indicated, and taking call within a collaborative hospital setting. Candidates must commit to a minimum of five consecutive shifts per month.
Compensation:
$380 per hour Schedule and Scope 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM
  • 7:00 AM); weekday and weekend coverage required In-house coverage: 7:00 AM
  • 7:00 PM; remote call: 7:00 PM
  • 7:00 AM Remote call is primarily telephone-based with requirement to return onsite for emergencies when necessary One urologist scheduled per shift Average volume: 8-10 consults daily Procedures performed as clinically necessary; mid-level providers available to assist in the OR Key Responsibilities Provide inpatient urology consultations, treatment, and follow-up Perform urgent and emergent urologic procedures as needed Manage daytime in-house patient care and coordinate overnight remote call coverage Be available for emergency callback and onsite response when required Collaborate with hospital staff and advanced practice providers to ensure continuity of care Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR Requirements MD or DO degree Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology Active New Jersey medical license Current, active CDS and DEA registrations Ability to independently manage inpatient urologic cases and emergencies Availability to commit to at least five consecutive shifts per month
