Job Description

Job ID:
Not provided Locum tenens opportunity in Hobbs, NM providing inpatient orthopedic coverage. Call-only position beginning Dec 1, 2026 and ongoing.
Schedule:
24-hour beeper call (7:00 AM-7:00 AM), approximately two weeks per month with occasional sporadic coverage. Typical adult patient volume averages 1-4 cases per day. Call response time expected within 20-30 minutes. This role supplements the existing team of two orthopedic surgeons and one PA/NP, with on-site lab and x‑ray; the facility uses Epic.
Required clinical experience:
total joint replacement and joint revision/repair cases; case logs from the past 24 months must be submitted.
Qualifications:
BC/BE in Orthopedic Surgery, New Mexico medical license, and NM DEA registration. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered by the agency.
