Alumni Healthcare Staffing seeks a Board-Certified Surgical Pathologist for a locum tenens assignment in New York. In this role, you will interpret surgical pathology specimens, perform gross and microscopic evaluations, and provide accurate, timely diagnostic reports to support optimal patient care. Responsibilities include participating in tumor boards, collaborating with surgeons and oncologists, and adhering to
CAP/CLIA

Responsibilities Interpret surgical pathology specimens and issue definitive diagnostic reports Perform gross and microscopic examinations following
CAP/CLIA
standards Correlate clinical, radiologic, and pathologic findings to support patient management Participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary case conferences Communicate findings clearly with surgeons, oncologists, and other clinicians Ensure accurate documentation and timely turnaround of all cases Follow quality assurance and quality control protocols in the laboratory Assist with frozen sections and intraoperative consultations as needed Adhere to all hospital, regulatory, and safety policies Collaborate with staffing team and facility leadership to optimize service coverage Required Skills Surgical pathology diagnosis Histopathology and microscopic evaluation Grossing and specimen handling Immunohistochemistry interpretation Frozen section and intraoperative consultation Oncology and tumor pathology Medical documentation and reporting Quality assurance in
