Job Description

Attending Physician - Pulmonary & Critical Care (Per Diem)
East Meadow, Long Island, NY Salary:
$175/hr Nassau Health Care Corporation (NuHealth) is a mission-driven public health system dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible care to the residents of Nassau County and surrounding communities. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pulmonary & Critical Care Attending Physician to join our team on a per diem basis . This role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in both inpatient and critical care settings while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary medical team. In this role, you will: Provide comprehensive pulmonary and critical care services. Manage critically ill patients in the ICU. Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures (e.g., bronchoscopy, ventilator management). Collaborate with hospitalists, consultants, nursing staff, and allied health professionals. Participate in daily rounds, care planning, and clinical decision-making. Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the EMR. Adhere to institutional policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
We require:
MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine. Active and unrestricted New York State medical license (or ability to obtain). DEA certification. Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills. Prior attending and ICU experience preferred. We offer competitive salaries & medical malpractice coverage. Must be a Nassau County resident--NO
