Job Description
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst is seeking a full time BC/BE Adolescent Medicine Physician to join the growing Division of Pediatrics in Ambulatory Pediatrics at Elmhurst Hospital Center in Elmhurst, New York. We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Adolescent Medicine Physician who is interested in working with an urban, ethnically diverse, underserved population in a dynamic and supportive academic setting. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive, primary, specialty, reproductive and mental health care to a diverse adolescent and young adult population from 12 through 21 years of age at our Adolescent/Young Adult Clinic; teaching and precepting pediatric residents and medical students during their adolescent medicine rotation. There is many opportunities for initiation and participation in program development, quality improvement (QI) projects, research, professional development and patient advocacy. The hospital is easily accessible by public transportation and car from all areas of New York City, New Jersey and Long Island. We offer faculty appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications. Candidates should be BC/BE in Pediatrics and possess a valid New York State license and DEA. Experience with LARC insertion and care of patients with eating disorders is a plus. Medical fluency in additional languages is helpful but not a requirement. New graduates and experienced clinicians are welcome to apply.
