Job Description
The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst and Queens is seeking a full time Pediatric Physiatrist. We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated physician interested in working with an urban, ethnically diverse, underserved population in a dynamic and supportive academic setting. The hospital are both easily accessible by public transportation and car from all areas of New York City, New Jersey and Long Island. The ideal candidate will join our pediatric faculty and provide services to our ambulatory patients as well as provide inpatient consults to our neonates at both hospitals. The position will sit operationally within both Pediatric departments but be appointed in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, which is a joint department across both hospitals. The selected candidate will have the following clinical responsibilities: Two to three days per week of ambulatory sessions at Elmhurst Hospital Center Inpatient consults in the Level 3 NICU at Elmhurst One to two days per week of ambulatory sessions at Queens Hospital Center Inpatient consults in the Level 3 NICU at Queens Teaching of residents and medical students We offer faculty appointment at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai commensurate with credentials, experience and qualifications. The candidate should be a BE/BC, fellowship trained Pediatric Physiatrist. Candidates must possess a valid New York State license and active DEA registration. The salary for this position ranges from $236,000 to $241,000 plus benefits and faculty practice distributions throughout the academic year.
