Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Gastroenterologist for a 25-day assignment in New York, commencing Sep 14, 2026. This role involves a schedule of Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 5 pm and Friday from 8 am to 3 pm, complemented by weeknight, weekend, and holiday call coverage. The physician will primarily focus on conducting scopes, managing clinic days, and performing various gastroenterology and hepatology procedures. Responsibilities and Duties Perform scopes and manage clinic days. Provide weeknight call coverage. Handle 24-hour weekend and holiday call coverage (out of house). Conduct a range of gastroenterology procedures including colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, esophageal pH testing, and sigmoidoscopy. Manage patients with conditions such as Colon Cancer Screening, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Liver Disease, and Pancreatic Disease. Administer infusion therapy, including treatment for Crohn's disease. Conduct typical clinical consults and follow-ups. Perform all GI procedures at the Geneva Surgery Center. Additional Information Board Certification in Gastroenterology is required. The client utilizes Epic EMR. Work hours are 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Thursday, and 8 am to 3 pm on Friday. Call schedule includes weeknight, 24-hour weekend, and holiday call.
