Family Medicine Physician (Part-Time) CEC Healthcare (Charles Evans Center) Glen Cove & Bethpage, NY (Rotating Between FQHC Clinics) Part-Time | Tuesdays & Thursdays | 14 Hours per Week Malpractice Insurance Provided NHSC Loan Repayment Eligible (HPSA Score 19) Make a Difference in an Underserved Community At CEC Healthcare, we believe high-quality healthcare should be accessible, compassionate, and person-centered. Our patient population includes individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), serious mental illness (SMI), behavioral health conditions, and substance use disorders, as well as underserved community members requiring comprehensive primary care services. We are seeking a compassionate and patient-focused Family Medicine Physician to join our team on a part-time basis. Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), serious mental illness (SMI), behavioral health conditions, and substance use disorders. Collaborate with behavioral health and care management teams to support patients with complex medical, psychological, and social needs. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions. Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate care across disciplines. Order, review, and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests. Prescribe medications and monitor treatment effectiveness. Perform office-based procedures as appropriate. Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records. Participate in an integrated care model focused on improving health outcomes for vulnerable and underserved populations. Qualifications Required MD or DO from an accredited medical school Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program Active New York State Physician License Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain) Experience providing care in an outpatient setting Preferred Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), serious mental illness (SMI), behavioral health conditions, and/or substance use disorders. Experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), community health center, or underserved setting. Bilingual in Spanish and English.
