Its Department of Surgery was founded by pioneering surgeon Dr. Lewis S. Pilcher, a founder of The Annals of Surgery . Today, our Advanced and Minimally Invasive Surgery program continues this legacy through cutting-edge, innovative techniques—including robotic surgery. Position Overview Robotic Surgery Physician Assistants support a wide range of surgical specialties, including: General Surgery Colorectal Bariatrics Gynecology Urology In this role, you will function as a key member of the surgical care team, with responsibilities that include: Providing intraoperative bedside assistance during robotic procedures Rounding with surgical teams to evaluate and manage patients Writing progress notes and placing orders Performing bedside procedures as needed Delivering coordinated, high-quality care across the patient journey You will serve as a frontline provider, ensuring continuity of care for surgical patients throughout their hospital stay. Schedule Monday-Friday, flexible shift coverage Preferred Qualifications At least 1 year of experience in surgical inpatient medicine Required Qualifications At least 1 year of experience in robotic surgery Experience with Intuitive Surgical systems (Xi, X, and/or dV5) Licensing & Certifications Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program Current New York State PA licensure NCCPA certification Current ACLS and BLS certifications NYS Infection Control certification DEA registration with NYS Opioid Prescriber Training compliance Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
