Job Description
Job description An established primary care and multi-specialty medical practice is seeking an experienced Part- Time Neurologist to be an integral part of our team. This position is for our Ridgewood (Queens), NY office. An outstanding opportunity for the candidate to build upon on our existing neurology practice and make a difference to the patients in our neighborhood. In this role, one will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to patients with a variety of neurological conditions. The ideal candidate will utilize your expertise in neuroanatomy, physiology, and diseases of the nervous system to diagnose, treat, and manage these conditions.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough neurological evaluations, including history taking, physical examinations, and mental status assessments. Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests such as EEG, EMG, MRI, and CT scans. Develop and implement effective treatment plans for a wide range of neurological disorders, including epilepsy, stroke, migraines, dementia, Parkinson's disease, and multiple sclerosis. Prescribe medications, recommend therapeutic interventions, and provide patient education on managing their condition. Communicate effectively with patients and families, explaining diagnosis, treatment options, and prognoses in a clear and compassionate manner. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including neurosurgeons, physiatrists, and primary care physicians, to ensure coordinated care for patients. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in neurology through continuing medical education.Compensation:
$175-$250/hour + quarterly incentiveQualifications:
MD, or DO degree with a specialization in Neurology. Board certification in Neurology is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing neurology in a clinical setting, preferred. Strong clinical skills, including history taking, physical examination, and diagnostic reasoning. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Job Type:
