RADIOLOGY SUPRT SVC
Pay Range:
$16.94 - $26.26 Care for our community, and your career. Coordinates and participates in a variety of clerical activities involved in the filing, retrieval, and distribution of patient imaging film. Maintains and supports the day-to- day PACS environment as it relates to the applications, modality workflow, and performance management for the department. Other duties include working closely with the Radiologists and other hospital departments, as well as referring offices and their patients to ensure a seamless flow of radiological information. Maintains the off site storage of film. Other duties include answering phones, order entry, front desk management as described by receptionist position. Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements Minimum Education Requirement :
High school level of knowledge.
Minimum Experience Requirement :
Previous office experience preferred. Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and graphics software, with minimum typing speed of 40 wpm. Ability to compose correspondence and proof assignments to ensure accuracy of documents. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required. Detail attentiveness required. Individual must be self-motivated and willing to self-direct. Previous experience in a health care environment preferred. Ability to simultaneously handle multiple assignments and projects with speed and accuracy. Able to work efficiently and effectively under time constraints. . Must have the ability to carry on many functions in an organized manner at the same time, e.g. answer phones, schedule exams, give verbal reports, create necessary paperwork. Must be able to understand written and oral instructions pertaining to scheduling and physician requests. Ability to deal with cancer patients and families. Knowledge and experience of radiological terminology and procedures and various aspects of xray film filing system. Samaritan is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
