Job Description
Acute Care Surgeon/Trauma Surgeon The Department of General Surgery at Cleveland Clinic is currently seeking highly trained Staff Surgeon candidates to join our growing Section of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery. The Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Section practices at five Cleveland Clinic locations: Akron General Hospital-Level 1 Trauma Center, Fairview Hospital-Level 2 Trauma Center, Hillcrest Hospital-Level 2 Trauma Center, Mercy Hospital-Level 2 Trauma Center, and Main Campus in downtown Cleveland. This is an exciting opportunity as we will be starting a level I adult and pediatric trauma center at main campus in the beginning of 2028 and looking for surgeons excited to join our expanding team. We are committed to growing a robust research portfolio and supporting faculty in their research and other academic endeavors. We are dedicated to the teaching of residents and students in patient care, quality, and research. A faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with experience will be with the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. Candidates should be fellowship trained and board certified/eligible in surgical critical care, able to obtain an Ohio medical license, and meet hospital credentialing requirements . This range is generally aligned with or below the 50th percentile of nationally recognized compensation benchmarks by specialty. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined in accordance with fair market value, considering factors such as professional experience, clinical expertise, board certification, work history, and FTE. This stated range excludes the value of Cleveland Clinic's comprehensive benefits package, which includes healthcare, dental, vision, retirement, and other offerings.
