Psychiatrist - Outpatient Behavioral Health Summa Health | Green, Ohio Position Summary Summa Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrist to join our growing outpatient behavioral health practice in Green, Ohio , conveniently located between Akron and Canton. This physician will become part of a multidisciplinary behavioral health team dedicated to delivering comprehensive, evidence-based psychiatric care within one of Northeast Ohio's leading integrated healthcare systems. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team of psychiatrists, psychologists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, licensed independent social workers, counselors, and addiction medicine specialists. This outpatient-focused opportunity offers a strong referral base, academic involvement, and access to a full continuum of behavioral health services. Opportunity Highlights Primarily outpatient psychiatry practice Monday through Friday schedule Limited call responsibilities Excellent work-life balance Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package Established referral network within an integrated healthcare system Epic electronic medical record (EMR) Academic appointment with Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED), commensurate with experience Opportunities to teach and supervise psychiatry residents and medical students Collaborative, multidisciplinary support team Responsibilities Provide high-quality outpatient psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices Collaborate with psychologists, advanced practice providers, social workers, counselors, and addiction medicine specialists to coordinate patient care Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Epic EMR system Participate in call coverage as assigned Contribute to quality improvement and clinical excellence initiatives Engage in teaching and mentorship activities for residents and medical students, if desired Participate in research and academic activities as appropriate Behavioral Health Services Available Physicians have access to a comprehensive continuum of behavioral health programs and services, including: Summa Health Traumatic Stress Center (TSC) Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) Addiction and Recovery Services Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Programs Integrated Behavioral Health Services embedded within: Primary Care Internal Medicine Cardiology Oncology Bariatric Services Sleep Medicine Senior Health Qualifications/Required MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) Eligible for an unrestricted Ohio medical license Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment About Summa Health Headquartered in Akron, Ohio, Summa Health is one of the region's premier integrated healthcare delivery systems, serving Northeast Ohio through: Two hospitals A comprehensive network of primary care and specialty providers Advanced behavioral health services across multiple care settings EOE/AA Minorities/Females/Protected Veterans/Disabled Influenza vaccination is required for all Summa Health employees in accordance with organizational policy.
