Location:

Steubenville, OH Urgent coverage dates: September 5, 7:00 AM - September 14, 7:00

AM Setting:

Inpatient and clinic

EMR:

Meditech Schedule Weekdays:

Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM Weekday night call: 5:00 PM-7:00 AM Weekend call: Saturday & Sunday, 24-hour (7:00 AM-7:00 AM)

Overall:

24/7 call coverage required Clinical duties Provide comprehensive inpatient and clinic cardiothoracic surgical care. Round on CT surgery inpatients (average census 4-6). Provide limited outpatient clinic coverage (average 10-12 patients/day). Provide continuous call coverage for emergent cardiovascular and thoracic cases; emergent procedures expected to be performed onsite. Evaluate and manage patients requiring urgent surgical intervention. Perform CABG and thoracic surgical procedures (approx. 1-2 CABG/week; 5-7 other surgical cases/week). Manage vascular cases when within scope/experience (vascular experience a plus). Collaborate with hospital staff and other providers to ensure timely, high-quality care. Requirements Board eligibility required; board certification highly preferred Active Ohio medical license (required) ACLS certification (required) Demonstrated experience with CABG and thoracic surgery No patient transfers for emergent procedures unless clinically necessary.
