Job Description

ATC West Healthcare is seeking a full-time Locum Hematology/Oncology physician to provide ongoing outpatient coverage at its free-standing cancer center due to physician retirements and relocations. The provider will join an established team and focus primarily on oncology patients, with a smaller hematology component, while helping maintain timely access to care for new cancer diagnoses. Schedule Coverage Needed:
ASAP and ongoing
Commitment:
Full-time, 4 weeks per month (required)
Clinic Schedule:
4-5 days per week, 8:30 AM - 4:30
PM Administrative Time:
One administrative day or half-day available as needed
Call Schedule:
7 consecutive days of call, including one weekend, on a 1:4 rotation
Call Ratio:
1:4
Credentialing Timeframe:
Approximately 6-8 weeks Job Details / Responsibilities Provide outpatient Hematology and Medical Oncology care at a free-standing cancer center. Function as a member of the clinical patient care team, performing duties consistent with training and licensure as a Hematologist/Oncologist. Manage approximately 10-15 outpatient visits per day. Participate in inpatient consults and rounding only when patients are admitted for inpatient chemotherapy.
Collaborate with:
3 physicians currently in practice 2 Advanced Practice Providers Radiation Oncology team (available onsite) Patient population is approximately: 80% Oncology (primarily solid tumor cases) 20% Hematology Utilize EPIC electronic medical record system. Practice at a Level III Trauma Center . Required Skills & Qualifications Board Certified in both Hematology and Oncology (required) Active Oregon medical license (highly preferred) DEA certification (required) Clean malpractice and background history (highly preferred) CAQH login credentials required at time of offer Current Self-Query NPDB report (within one month) required at presentation Must meet Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership and privileging requirements
