Opportunity:
Key Responsibilities Manage laboring patients, including deliveries and postpartum care. Handle GYN emergencies and perform surgical interventions as needed. Provide backup support for midwives, including seeing patients in the attached medical office building clinic. Participate in primary, in-house call coverage: 24-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM), 7 shifts per month, including weekends and holidays. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care. Assist with complex surgeries in coordination with the GYN Oncologist when necessary. Practice & Facility Details Annual deliveries: ~1,500.
Current team composition:
2 OB Hospitalists (1 FT, 1 PT), 2 Midwives (expanding to 3), plus PRN coverage, 2 part-time APPs (no call), additional APP positions planned, Shared office with GYN Oncologist .
Specialty support:
Maternal-Fetal Medicine (Gettysburg & Chambersburg), Urogynecology, Neonatal NPs (inpatient).
NICU:
Level II (32 weeks and up), 8 beds.
L&D Unit:
14 LDRP rooms, 14 postpartum rooms (+14 overflow), 4 triage rooms, 1 dedicated OR in the unit, Call rooms available for physicians and APPs. First in
