Job Description

Description Position Summary:
Windber Medical Center is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Primary Care Physician (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals across all age groups, emphasizing preventative care, chronic disease management, and continuity of care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality primary care services including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions. Conduct routine physical exams, screenings, and preventive care interventions. Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and interdisciplinary teams. Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with best practice guidelines. Coordinate care with specialists, hospitals, and ancillary services to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record system. Serve as a trusted healthcare resource for patients and their families.

Qualifications Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Valid Pennsylvania medical license (or eligible for licensure). DEA registration or eligibility. Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills. Commitment to patient-centered care and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a community or rural hospital setting. Interest in teaching, mentoring, or participating in community health initiatives.
