Position Description:
Pennsylvania Hospital is seeking a part time Nocturnist to join their team. Pennsylvania Hospital, the nation's first hospital, is a 515-bed acute care facility that provides a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic medical services and functions as a major teaching and clinical research institution. Pennsylvania Hospital (PAH) is part of the University of Pennsylvania Health System and is located at 8th and Spruce Streets in the historic Society Hill district of Philadelphia. The Hospitalist group at Pennsylvania Hospital is a well-established, stable, and respected group who value high quality patient care. They are devoted to serving as expert educators and mentors to the next generation of physicians. Candidates should have a strong interest in medical student and resident education. Primary responsibilities include direct patient care on the teaching services, non-teaching service, observation Medicine service, and the consult/co-management service. Pennsylvania Hospital has a closed ICU.Position Requirements:
Requires Medical degree or foreign equivalent. Board certified or eligible in Internal or family medicine. Board certification required for applicants who completed residency three or more years prior to the date of application. Have or be eligible for PA medical license. Passage of USMLE 1, 2, and 3. Must have DEA license/registration.Additional Information:
