As a Locum Medical Doctor in Radiology, you will play a key role in interpreting diagnostic images, collaborating with referring clinicians, and supporting timely, accurate diagnoses. Your expertise will directly contribute to patient care and the clinical success of our practice. This role is ideal for a flexible, skilled physician interested in a locum tenens assignment in a supportive and fast-paced medical setting. Responsibilities Perform and interpret diagnostic radiology examinations, including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy. Review patient histories and clinical indications to determine appropriate imaging protocols. Provide accurate preliminary and final reports for radiological studies. Consult with referring physicians regarding imaging findings and recommended next steps. Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and infection control protocols. Document findings in electronic medical records (EMR) and imaging systems. Collaborate with radiologic technologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize workflow. Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain current medical licensure, board certification or eligibility, and required continuing medical education. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams regarding imaging procedures and results as appropriate. Support on-call or emergency radiology coverage according to department schedule. Uphold professional, ethical, and patient confidentiality standards at all times. Requirements Medical Doctor (MD) degree or equivalent medical degree. Associate-level professional experience in radiology or diagnostic imaging. Active medical licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure for the practice location. Completion of an accredited residency training program in Radiology. Proficiency in interpreting X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy studies. Strong understanding of radiation safety principlesand best practices. Excellent clinical judgment and diagnostic decision-making skills. Strong communication skills for consulting with referring physicians and interacting with patients. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site medical practice environment. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)and PACS imaging systems. Board certification or board eligibility in Radiology is preferred. Commitment to continuing medical education and professional development.
