Geisinger Community Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician to join our established Hospital Medicine team as a Day Hospitalist. Located in the heart of Northeastern Pennsylvania, Geisinger Community Medical Center is a 293-bed acute care hospital and regional leader in patient-centered care. As a Level II Trauma Center with a strong academic and collaborative environment, GCMC offers hospitalists the opportunity to practice high-quality medicine while enjoying an exceptional work - life balance.
Job Duties:
Day Hospitalist schedule 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM 7-on / 7-off block schedule Inpatient-only practice Average daily census of 12-14 patients Closed ICU environment No procedures required, though procedural opportunities are available Robust specialty support across all major service lines Opportunities to teach residents and medical students Collaborative care model with strong multidisciplinary support Outreach opportunities available through surrounding Geisinger community hospitals EMR Fully integrated Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system across the Geisinger enterprise, providing seamless access to patient information and coordinated care.
