Job Description
Position summary The Physician coding supervisor supervises and coordinates the Physician Coding team, overseeing coding quality, documentation, compliance, training, and workflow. Supports revenue improvement through accurate coding and documentation and assists with audits and special projects. Key responsibilities Supervise and manage daily work of Coding Analysts, including scheduling, assignments, workflow, and performance. Oversee physician coding chart reviews, coding validation, documentation, and compliance. Develop and provide coding/reimbursement training and education. Monitor coding quality, data integrity, and compliant reimbursement. Identify process and revenue improvement opportunities. Work with other departments to resolve coding and billing issues. Stay current on coding, reimbursement, regulatory, and compliance requirements. Participate in hiring, performance management, goal setting, and staff development. Assist with audits, special projects, and operational improvement initiatives. Minimum qualifications
