Major Responsibilities:
Acts as the primary site liaison and provides consultation/education during the pre-interviewing process to answer questions, provide facility and community information, and to facilitate contact between candidates and physician leaders in collaboration with recruitment colleagues, ensuring the process is smooth, efficient and effective. Provides consistent communication on the candidate, itinerary development, market conditions and recruitment plans. Identifies and monitors issues to be proactive in determining a plan and providing the site feedback on problem solving tactics. Identifies the candidate's family needs, researches as needed, provides community tours and educates the family accordingly. Develops, coordinates, and schedules site visit plans, itineraries and interviews for candidates. In conjunction with operational and medical leadership, ensures cultural and skill fit in the assessment of physician candidates. Accompanies the candidate on the interview, provides feedback post-visit, obtains feedback from the leaders and the candidates to assess and evaluate the effectiveness of the visit. Collaborates with local administration to provide input on practice descriptions in order to capture/summarize each physician practice opportunity, information on the current practicing physicians, and on the community in which the practice is based as led with by the physician/APC recruiter. Works closely with operations and medical group leaders to develop and identify pending workforce concerns at the site level. Brands and markets Advocate Aurora as an organization as well as the services and programs provided across the system. Displays the organization's best of practice, processes/services to ensure a comprehensive and consistent presentation of the organization to our candidates. Maintains contact with the clinician post hire for the first year of employment to ensure a smooth transition, answers questions, resolve issues, address family and clinician needs, facilitates any additional communications, and solicits scheduled feedback related to their practice as well as opportunities for improvement. Conducts exit interviews with departing clinicians including retirees and develops a report which is submitted to senior leadership and utilized to track and report trends. Monitors credentialing, privileging and licensing with appropriate internal and external partners to ensure that the process moves effectively and timely after an offer is made/accepted. Monitors for potential gaps that slow down the process and facilitates solutions ensuring appropriate information is provided. Oversees the onboarding process in collaboration with department colleagues, site leadership and new hires to ensure a successful transition. This includes coordinating and facilitating new hire house hunting activities. Collaborates with departmental colleagues to assist site and market operations and medical group leadership in coordinating the clinical/site and hospital orientation process and elicits feedback on process. Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration, or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field.Experience Required:
Typically requires 5 years of experience in human resources, marketing, medical group operations or communications that includes experiences in developing relationships with providers, educating providers on services and programs and facilitating processes across multiple teams.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Strong understanding of recruitment strategies, retention practices, business and market development. Skills in evaluating, addressing, and providing resolutions to complex issues and challenges. Skills in recognizing potentially problematic issues, understanding the ramifications and problem solving for effective resolution. Knowledge of geographic area served to provide guidance to physicians and their families on the community and surrounding areas. Advanced knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations impacting the recruitment function, human resources and the overall implications to the organization. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and experience to effectively interact and build working relationships with physicians and leadership at all levels. Excellent negotiation, organization and prioritization skills. Skills and experience leading and/or coordinating projects including timeline development, implementation and evaluation. Demonstrated exceptional and timely follow through. Skills in serving as a resource and providing guidance to others. Ability to establish exceptional individual relationships based on credibility of expertise and trust. Proficient in using Microsoft Office and system applications.Preferred:
