Job Description

Breast Imaging Radiologist needed in New York, with options for onsite coverage near Albany or remote live diagnostic support with real time patient consults after suspicious findings. Highlights No call requirement Mon to Fri coverage, full time preferred with consideration for less than full time Remote option available, live diagnostic reads plus virtual patient consultations immediately after suspicious results Ongoing need tied to backlog and increased volume, 3 to 6 month commitment Practice Setting Mix of inpatient and outpatient breast imaging Adults only patient population Full range of screening and diagnostic breast imaging, with established backlog Strong on site support, team of radiologist MDs plus mammographers and rad techs Schedule Weekdays only, Monday through Friday Daytime shifts, 8a to 4p or 8a to 5p No call Credentialing varies by site, about 1 month for the imaging center and about 3 months for the hospital if onsite Cases and Procedures Onsite volumes typically include 30 screening mammograms, 40 diagnostic exams, 6 breast MRIs, and 4 image guided procedures per day If onsite, biopsies, localizations, breast MRI, and breast ultrasound If remote, emphasis on live diagnostic reads with immediate virtual patient consults following suspicious findings Radiologist communicates findings and recommendations directly to patients requiring biopsy, with breast navigators coordinating follow up and next steps Requirements Must be an MD or DO Board Certified in Radiology New York license required BLS, DEA, and MQSA required If you want, I can walk you through how the remote live diagnostic workflow compares to onsite coverage near Albany and what a typical week would look like for your availability.
