Job Description
Nocturnist Physician Full-Time Location:
Bluffton, South Carolina A well-established, nonprofit healthcare organization in the Bluffton, South Carolina area is actively seeking a full-time Nocturnist Physician to join its growing inpatient medicine team. 2026 Internal Medicine residents are encouraged to apply. Position Overview- Provide comprehensive overnight inpatient medical care for hospitalized adult patients
- Manage admissions, cross-cover responsibilities, acute patient issues, and clinical decision-making during night shifts
- Collaborate closely with daytime hospitalists, specialists, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary care teams
- Deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care in a modern hospital setting
- Utilize an integrated EMR system to maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Work within a supportive nocturnal hospital medicine program
- Maintain a schedule designed to support work-life balance Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
- Eligible for South Carolina medical licensure
- Active or eligible DEA registration
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Comfortable managing inpatient medicine responsibilities independently overnight
