Job Description

Schedule:
Monday Friday 8:30 AM 5:00 PM An opportunity is available for a board-certified (or board-eligible) Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist to join a supportive and collegial team in a community-based setting. This full-time role offers a diverse caseload, and consistent weekday hours making it ideal for pathologists seeking professional fulfillment with excellent work-life balance.
Position Summary:
The Pathologist will be responsible for diagnostic interpretation across a broad range of surgical pathology cases, frozen sections, and limited cytology. The position also includes oversight of laboratory operations and active involvement in quality assurance, infection control, and laboratory regulatory compliance. Sign-out is conducted via electronic/telepathology systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret surgical pathology, frozen sections, and select cytology specimens. Perform gross examination and dictation of surgical tissues as appropriate. Provide timely and accurate written pathology reports to referring providers. Consult with physicians regarding test interpretation and case findings. Participate in quality assurance, lab inspections, and infection control activities. Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA, HIPAA, and OSHA standards. Engage in intradepartmental meetings, peer reviews, and continuing medical education. Assist with training or supervision of lab personnel as needed.
