JOB REQUIREMENTS
Board:
BC/BE in
Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or General Surgery Licenses:
Active, unrestricted Texas Medical License; Active Texas DEA with Texas address
DEA / CDS
Active Texas DEA with schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, & 5 required
Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS
required if not Board Certified in
Emergency Medicine Experience:
Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in Emergency Medicine or related specialty
Other Qualifications:
Two years of case logs, two years of CME/CEU documentation
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients of all ages presenting to the ED Manage a high-volume patient panel (31,000 annual visits) with 24-hour physician coverage Perform emergency procedures as required, including but not limited to laceration repair, intubation, and central line placement Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow and timely care Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in the Medhost EMR system
