Job Description

Hand & Upper Extremity Surgeon — Fellowship-Trained | Inherited Practice | 12-Month Partnership | Utah County, Utah The Opportunity Step into a built practice. A retiring hand surgeon leaves behind an established panel, proven volume, and a referral engine already running. You are not starting from zero. You are walking into Day-1 cases, Day-1 clinic, and Day-1 income inside Utah's largest independent, physician-owned multispecialty group. Utah County is one of the fastest-growing, youngest, most active markets in the country. Hand and upper-extremity demand is high and underserved. Internal referrals from the orthopedic section, 200+ PCPs, and five urgent cares start immediately. Year-1 guarantee is the floor. Partnership at 12 months is the accelerator — ancillary income, ownership, and uncapped production. Total compensation is designed to jump hard once you are a partner. There is no earnings ceiling. Clinical Scope High-volume elective hand and wrist: carpal tunnel, cubital tunnel, trigger finger, Dupuytren's, CMC arthroplasty, wrist arthroscopy
Trauma:
distal radius, scaphoid, metacarpals, phalanges, tendon and nerve repair Arthritis reconstruction, ligament work, and complex upper-extremity reconstruction Full hand, wrist, and forearm — operative and non-operative Built-in referrals from generalists, sports medicine, and the rest of the orthopedic section Qualifications MD/DO — BC/BE Orthopedic Surgery Hand / upper-extremity fellowship 1-5 years post-fellowship strongly preferred — hungry surgeons who want to own a practice, not rent one Technical skill + ownership mentality Compensation Competitive Year-1 base 12-month partnership track — not 2-3 years Ancillary income and true ownership at partner Uncapped production — no cap, no "eat what you kill but we keep the ancillaries" Employer-paid malpractice + prior acts (tail) included Full benefits: medical, dental, vision, CME, retirement, relocation Why This One Physician-owned. Not a health system. Not PE. You inherit the book. You do not build it from scratch. Fastest-growing county in a high-demand, underserved hand market Referral machine already in place: 200+ PCPs, five urgent cares, four owned imaging centers, section colleagues Partnership in 12 months. Ownership and ancillaries on the table. Tail coverage as a recruiting benefit — rare and expensive elsewhere
