As a Psychiatrist, you'll serve as a clinical leader, helping patients achieve stability while guiding the behavioral health program within a secure and structured environment. Position Summary As the facility Psychiatrist, you'll serve as the behavioral health authority and provide leadership for psychiatric services across the institution. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, you will: Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management for patients with behavioral health needs Lead and support the facility's psychiatric and behavioral health programs to ensure quality, patient-centered care Monitor the appropriate utilization of psychotropic medications and oversee clinical treatment outcomes Collaborate with medical, nursing, behavioral health, and correctional staff to coordinate care and support patient stability Provide clinical guidance, training, and support to behavioral health staff and institutional personnel Assist with program development, quality improvement initiatives, and compliance with correctional healthcare standards Ensure timely completion of clinical documentation, evaluations, and required reports You'll go beyond symptom management. You'll provide leadership, clinical expertise, and compassionate care that helps patients achieve stability and long-term recovery . What You'll Need Current, unrestricted state medical license in state of practice Board Certification - American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology required. Active applicable Controlled Substance Registration/License/Certification in state of practice.
