Job Description

Specialty Smyth County Community Hospital-AP-Physician-0024 State VA Location 245 Medical Park Dr Marion Virginia 24354 Requirements Annual volume: 16,000Coverage model: 12-hour shifts 9-hour mid-level coverage44 hospital beds
EMR:
EpicEducation/Training:
Graduate from an accredited 4 year medical school (MD) or an accredited Osteopathic school (DO).Completion of ACGME/AOA, approved 3 year residency program in EM/FM or
IM. ECFMG
required for foreign medical graduates.
Clinical Experience:
New graduates acceptable: EM residency graduates within the past 12 months may be considered. 3-month proctorship required.
License:
Active unrestricted VA Medical License and DEA w/ VA address & schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4 & 5
Board Certification:
American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM), American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM), American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)American Board of Medical Specialties FM, IM, EM.
Merit Badge:
ACLS, ATLS and PALS if not BC in EM or EM trained. NRP for non-ABEM providers.
Immunizations:
MMR/Varicella (2) Vaccines or titers with values indicating immunity for MMR & Varicella. TB (past 12 months)or a QuantiFERON Gold indicating immunity within three months. 2nd TB test to be completed prior to activation and privileges given. Chest x-ray required within 3 months if positive for TB or positive Quanti
FERON. FLU
within current season.
Case Log:
Case Logs for the last two years, in addition any documentation for special training for Special Procedures.
CME/CEU:
Preeclampsia for initial application and every two years for reappointments.
