Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Critical Care Medicine Physician for an engaging 42-day assignment starting Sep 7, 2026, in Virginia. Our client also has opportunities for advanced practice providers to manage night shifts from 7pm to 7am, while physicians primarily cover day shifts (7am to 7pm) with potential on-call. This role involves comprehensive critical care management, including intubation, central line placement, and ventilator management for critically ill patients. Responsibilities and Duties Provide comprehensive critical care medicine services to critically ill patients.
For Physicians:
Cover day shifts from 7am to 7pm, with potential for overnight on-call.For Advanced Practice Providers:
Cover night shifts from 7pm to 7am. Perform general critical care medicine procedural skills including intubation, central venous catheter placement, and chest tube placement. Manage ARDS, respiratory failure, and ventilator settings. Conduct cardiovascular resuscitation and management of hemodynamic instability. Oversee the management of multi-organ dysfunction. Work independently with an Intensivist on call as backup.For Physicians:
Document case logs of inpatient care encounters for a minimum of 50 patients in the critical care unit during the past 12 months.For Advanced Practice Providers:
Document case logs of inpatient care for a minimum of 100 patients in the critical care unit during the past 12 months. Provide case log documentation showing a minimum of 15 intubations, 15 central lines, and 15 arterial lines within the past 12 months. This documentation is required throughout the privileging process.Additional Information Required Board Certifications:
